Business Trip to Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Nigeria, UAE

During June and July 2022, the Chairman of M.K International Inc. Dr. Jung Hae-Jung had a business trip to five countries, to meet with different business associates and strengthen its professional business relationships.

He began his journey from Europe in Switzerland, Austria, and Portugal then continued to Africa in Nigeria and went to UAE (Dubai) before returning to Korea.

The main purpose of the business was to achieve goals of International Financing, in Deep Sea Port Development in Nigeria, Hydrogen Energy Business in the EU, and Digital Trade Platforms in the Middle East regions among other trade and investment activities.

The first destination was Switzerland, where MK had an intensive and productive discussion with international financial partners based in Luzern. Through dedicated efforts, patience, and negotiations between MK and the Swiss Partner, financing contracts for 3 large construction and development projects in Korea were materialized.

In the first week of July, the MK leadership visited Nigeria, an African economic powerhouse, and was invited to discuss the role of technology & management subject of the host Consortium SPC with significant attention. MK input a lot of time and concerted effort into the local infrastructure construction, alternative energy solutions, and Smart Industrial City projects that were made to pull out per strategic planning for Africa Continent. As a result of intensive but pragmatic consultations, another visit will follow at a later date with the expected signing of contracts for cooperation.

During the visit to Abuja, MK leadership met with local public and private partners, for further discussion on deep-sea port development, and the construction of a smart industrial city.

In-depth discussions and advances on topics such as planning and solar energy plant construction were also made.

During the trip to Vienna, Austria in late July, highly acclaimed business partner Nitro with whom MK has explored a close relationship, met with the company representatives and mutually agreed to promote international projects such as Hydrogen Energy, Drag Racing, and its in-house energy drink. They further discussed representative cooperation, for future overseas business between the companies.

In Lisbon, Portugal, Dr. Jung was able to create a cooperative relationship and officially entered into signing a contract agreement with the E.Group to establish Digital Trade Platforms in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Based on the agreement, M.K with her associate HJ ICT will provide the technology and managerial know-how, while the E. Group invest a portion of the budget in operational and managerial expenditures.

Next, MK embarked on Dubai for discussions on various scopes of commercial, financial, and industrial trade business with reputable associates and clients from the Netherlands, Malta, Bahrain, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Discussions revolved around Fintech business, Project Financing, Management, and Digital Trade Platforms based on the 4th Industrial Revolution. In particular, the third meeting was held for the finance and construction management of a new Smart City project in Saudi Arabia.

유럽지역의 스위스를 시작으로 오스트리아, 스페인, 포르투갈, 아프리카 나이지리아, 중동지역의 아랍에미리트까지 각 지역의 다른 국가에서 분야별 진행사업을 점검하고 현지 파트너고객들과 관계 강화는 물론, 새로운 영역의 사업까지 도모하는 미래 지향적 출장이었습니다.

이번 해외출장을 주 목적은 국제금융사업 결실이었으며,아프리카 나이지리아에서는 심해항만 건설, 유럽 독일/오스트리아에서는 수소에너지 전문과학자들과 생산 사업, 중동 UAE, 사우디에서는 건설사업의 복합금융과 디지털거래 플랫폼 개발 및 정착 사업이 핵심 협의사항 이었습니다.

첫번째 행선지였던 스위스에서는 Luzern에 기반을 둔 국제금융 파트너와 국제금융사업을 주제로 깊이 있고 전문성을 기반한 인내와 장고의 협상노력을 통해, 한국내 건설개발사업 관련 3개의 대형 프로젝트에 대한 파이낸싱 계약서를 구체화하여 상호 간의 절충과 합의를 거쳐 서명하는 결실을 맺었습니다.

7월 첫째 주에 경영진은 아프리카 경제 강국 나이지리아로 이동하여 기 논의 중이었던 현지 인프라 구축, 대체 에너지 솔루션, Smart 산업City 사업에 많은 시간과 집중된 노력으로, 주관 Consortium SPC의 기술 및 경영 주체로 초청 받아심도 있고 현실적인 협의를 한 결과 추후 재방문을 하여 공식 서명하기로 했습니다.

방문 기간중 현지 민.관 파트너들과 함께 수도 Abuja 에서 만남을 갖고심해 항만건설, 스마트 산업도시 계획, 태양광 에너지 플랜트 구축 등의 주제로 깊은 협의와 진일보 협의를 하였습니다.

7월 오스트리아의 비엔나 방문 중에는 MK와 돈독한 관계를 꾸준히 유지하고 있는 사업파트너 Nitro 회사를 만나 수소 에너지사업, Drag Racing 프로젝트, 그리고 건강 에너지 음료 등의 국제사업을 추진하기로 상호 동의하였으며, 향후 진행될 수 있는 해외사업에 대한 대표성 협력자 관계에 대한 의견 교환이 있었습니다.

포르투갈의 리스본에서는 중동, 유럽, 그리고 아프리카 지역의 디지털 플랫폼 설립 관련 Networks을 보유한 E Group과 두바이 에서의 공식적인 협력 관계를 재확인하고 전략적 파트너십을 통해 M.K,E Group 그리고 해당분야 기술 노하우를 보유하고 있는 MK의 국내 파트너사인 ㈜HJ 3사가 협력하여 새로운 디지털 거래 플랫폼의 설립, 운영을 추진하기로 했습니다.

마지막 방문지 두바이에서는 네덜란드, 몰타, 바레인, 사우디 고객들이 방문하여, 광범위한 개발, 금융, 무역 등에 대한 전반적인 국제사업과 경영관리 참여협의를 하였으며, 4차 산업혁명 기반의 Fintech 사업, 프로젝트 파이낸싱, 디지털 거래 플랫폼, 에너지, 자원 등 다양한 주제에 대한 협의를 하였고, 특히 사우디아라비아 제다 지역 신규 Smart City 프로젝트의 금융과 건설 경영을 위한 3차협의를 진행하였습니다.
